A bad day for the ego is a great day for the soul.
A typical Gemini.
I am the mistress of multi-tasking. I always have a handful of projects on the go. At the minute alongside motherhood and wifey business, I’m project managing a home-build, teaching yoga, completing a diploma in yoga therapy and writing a book, and a musical with my husband. In the past I have been an actor, a flight attendant, toured the globe in a band, and nearly won the WAMI awards one year with a song I wrote. Alongside all of that has been my health and wellness journey.
A rebel with a cause.
Krisnamurti once said, “It is no sign of good health to be well adjusted to a sick society.” I encourage the questioning of everything. This often drives those closest to me bananas, but they continue to love me, nonetheless. Without questioning people, processes, and the systems that govern us, we run the risk of getting stuck in outdated patterns and archaic paradigms that hold us back. Without asking questions and attuning to our own common sense, our capacity to heal and evolve as humans and as a planet is limited.
Tanaya Ti’en, Yoga Instructor
Tanaya is our eclectic and spontaneous yogi who lives her life by the minutes not the months. After her own healing journey, she felt a desire to share her vast knowledge of the metaphysical body and how it manifests within us with others.
Known for applying a modernised spin on ancient yogic teachings, she loves to offer interpretations of classical texts in her classes. Combining her passion for studying the concept of the chakras, with classical yoga philosophy and modern-day insights on the mind-body connection, Tanaya provides the space for her students to go on a journey of self-discovery.
Her classes are thought-provoking and inspiring, with a particular focus on harnessing the power of the Yamas (social ethics) and Niyamas (personal ethics) and exploring how these virtues manifest in the body through the lens of the chakra system.
