My favourite quote is…
”Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Howard Thurman
I am…
Human.
As a human, I love to move my body, connect with nature and sit in silence. I love connecting with my surroundings by sitting in silence, practising meditation, and listening to nature’s sounds
Mother
I am a proud mother who loves herself and the journey she has been on. I am passionate about advocating for other mothers and helping them take time for self-care and find themselves.
Perfectly imperfect
I am a perfectly imperfect human, who loves herself, her family, her friends, her community, and the world around her with so much love and gratitude in her heart. I advocate for self-love in all forms because I have so much appreciation for where I’ve been and where I am now.
Kate Whitmore, Yoga Instructor
Kate is passionate about sharing her love and kindness with others. Kate’s life was completely transformed in early 2022 when she completed her 200hr yoga teacher training and officially became a yoga teacher. After months of ‘healing’ and doing ‘the work’, she decided to give mindfulness and yoga a go; the rest is history. By diving into her health and well-being and transforming into the strongest she has felt mentally and physically, she has been able to share her journey and support others with theirs.
Kate is a mother of three wonderful children, the joys of her life. Her eldest daughter was born with a rare genetic disorder; she has various medical conditions, including quadriplegic cerebral palsy. She also requires a feeding tube and daily oxygen, along with needs that require around-the-clock care. Before this year, Kate neglected self-care, suffering from daily panic attacks and anxiety. She knew she needed to change her inner dialogue and make a change.
Yoga, meditation and breathwork have been what Kate calls her ‘mindful medicine’. She now has the space to care for herself, transforming her well-being. Kate cannot thank yoga and meditation enough for taking her on this journey to where she is now, and she is grateful every day to roll out her mat.
Kate loves to guide her students through their practice with elements of yoga and meditation flowing throughout. She is fantastic at supporting her students through a flow to break through challenges with a new mind to take into the world.
