Take the time acknowledge what this year has been for you

Gratitude journal practice

Without projecting what this year may have unravelled for you, I invite you to open a contemplative space for yourself before the calendar year closes to be honest with yourself. Here’s a simple journal practice you can use to reflect upon the year.

What surfaced for you?
What changes were you faced with and what did you learn in that process?
Where or how did you surprise yourself?

Often we are capable of so much more than we know, and in the process of contemplation we also allow ourselves to make sense of the experience and our body to process and let go of aspects of the experience we are gripping to or holding onto.

I invite you to make a cup of tea, grab a pen and paper and start writing. These prompts may evolve into something more, or they may even just invite you to ponder this later on. Contemplation is such a healing process and hope this process reminds you of how amazing you are.
